We are a team of mental health professionals dedicated to supporting children and families. We offer early childhood mental health consultation services to providers, agencies, and schools. Drawing on our collective experience with overstressed families and complex systems, we developed the Radically Safe Framework: an accessible, neurorelational, and stress-informed approach designed to enhance safety and regulation in young children.
Our framework provides families and professionals with tools to observe and assess a child’s state-dependent stress cues. Through a collaborative approach, we identify interventions that align with these fluctuating brain states. We believe that misbehavior is best understood as stress behavior and that shifting our perspective to address stress with cues of safety is crucial. By focusing on nervous system stability, our framework offers a roadmap to both basic and felt safety.
